Simple game of Blues Clues for a 4 yr old or younger. I cut out 3 blues clues paws and laminated them (for larger than life effect, especially at this age). I stuck one on a basket of pine cones, one on a jar of peanut butter and one on a bucket of bird seed. Most of my little party attenders can’t read yet, so it was just a matter of having them find the 3 clues and then figure out what we were going to make. Simple, yet still a game of Blue’s Clues for the littler ones.

Doggy Drink Race Child Birthday Games

What you’ll need for this Blue Clues game are two or three doggy dishes. Put Jell-O or any kind of drink in these doggy dishes and have the kids kneel beside the dishes with their hands behind their backs and see who finishes first the doggy drink. This is always hilarious!

Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper Bean Bag Toss

To make your own Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper bean bags take two pieces of white felt, hot glue two edges, fill with uncooked rice and hot glue the other two edges. Do the same with black felt and put faces on them. Then take a red plastic pail and yellow shovel and add details so that they look like Shovel and Pail. The object of the game is to use Shovel to toss Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper into Pail (try all kinds of distances).

Barking Contest

A really cool party game idea is to host your very own barking contest where everyone is a winner. Each kid gets to give their best bark, and then you can award prizes for loudest, saddest, most real, squeakiest, funniest, etc.

Shovel And Pail Relay

For this cool party game, get two sets of sand buckets and shovels and draw Shovel and Pail faces on each of them. Then form two teams and have a relay race where the kids have to pick up a small block with Shovel and then run to the other side of the room to dump it into the pail. The first team to put all their blocks into Pail is the winner.

Blue’s Bubble Doodles Child Birthday Games

This Blue Clues game needs to be played outside. You’ll need blue food coloring, white paper, and bubbles (you can make your own bubble mixture by mixing ½ a cup of dishwashing liquid, 2 tablespoons of glycerin – found at drug stores, and 5 cups of water. STIR, do not shake). Add the blue food coloring to the bubble mixture and give each kid a sheet of white drawing paper. Have one or more adults blow bubbles and tell each kid to try and catch the bubbles on their sheet of paper. As the bubbles pop they make a design on the paper. See who can come closest to making a paw print.

Hide all kinds of party favors everywhere around the party area. Then write clues on little notebook papers or a printed paw (each clue leading to a different party favor). Roll these papers up and slip them inside balloons that’ll you’ll blow up and hang as decorations. Then, when the game is about to start, tell the kids to choose a balloon, pop it and use the clue to find the missing party favor. One of the coolest child birthday games.

Let’s Find Blue’s Clues

Before the party, think of several clues that’ll be easy for your age group. Write each clue on an index card or a piece of notebook paper, and add a blue paw print to each. Here is an idea for a clue: “I’m cold on the inside, and I run all day and all night long.” When the kids figure out that the answer to the clue is a refrigerator (you can try giving them more hints if they don’t figure it out), have everyone look inside the refrigerator for the next clue. Hide the remaining clues all around the house, party area or yard (you can have the last clue lead to the birthday cake for a tasty surprise!). This is always a fun-filled child party idea!

How to Play Blue's Birthday Adventure

Blue is an inquisitive puppy who lives with her friend Steve. In Blue's Birthday Adventure she's helping Steve plan her birthday party by leaving him clues—marked by a blue paw print—which Steve deciphers with your help.

There are two discs for Blue's Birthday Adventure and each disc has two 'pathways'. Each pathway includes one full Blue's Clues game with three clues, an interactive Handy Dandy Notebook, multi-level learning activities and more. The activities include matching and sorting items, creating a personalized birthday card, putting puzzles together, baking a cake and much more! By successfully solving each pathway you'll help make Blue's birthday the best ever!

The pathways can be played in any order and represent different preparations for Blue's birthday. Together, the pathways contribute to the overall story of the game: the preparation of and attendance at Blue's birthday party. Solving each clue set results in a reward, Blue's birthday party!

After you sign in, you'll see the Pathway Selection Screen. Click one of the icons and Steve will greet you just as he does on television! He'll explain what you're going to do and then you'll be free to explore and look for clues!

Some clues may be easy to find but others may require you to find an object and assist a character before you can uncover them.

The Party

Each pathway ends with Blue and her friends gathered around a picnic table outdoors. The clue solution always leads to a bonus activity that only appears in the game when you've completed the pathway. For example, in one of the pathways Steve must figure out what Blue wants to do at her party. She wants to put on a puppet show! In the party scene a puppet stage appears in the background. When you click on the stage little puppets act out stories you set up.

The objects collected during game play appear on the table in the Party Bag. The noisemakers are clickable surprises. Other objects gathered through activity play also appear here—like both gifts for Blue. When you click on these you'll see Blue opening her presents. Click on mailbox so he'll deliver the card you made to Blue.

Steve will sing the Birthday Song and everyone can join in! When you've solved all four pathways you can help Blue blow out the candles on the cake you helped make and you'll get a surprise for all your help!
