Dec 06, 2019 Game rules are configuration choices available when starting a new game. Some options disable achievements. Some rules will only be visible if the relevant DLC is activated, as stated below. The ability to change this rule mid-game would be nice, and changing this rule mid-game would not provide a major advantage. If you're concerned about people cheesing it, you could always make changing game rules break iron/bronzeman games.
- Most npc's in the game have between 3 and 5 base health. Belle starts with 5.1, as do most of the non-hero/villain npc's I add with the mod. From what I read about life expectancy, the game starts having checks once someone hits the mid to late 30's in passing of natural causes. Someone with a 3 health is probably not going to make it past 50.
- I started a game with shattered realms rule set to yes just to try it out. I intended to change the Traditional Dynastic claims off, but I forgot. So now I have this high lordship of winterfell that I just got, yet the starks immediately get strong claim and press it with 8k soldiers.
- Sunset Invasion adds the Aztec Invasion, which will occur no earlier than the 13th century. In the game rules, it can also be set to occur at a random date at least 50 years after the game is started. A new invading threat arrives at a random point in the mid to late game, conquering from the West.
Ck2 Change Game Rules Mid Game Ironman
I really like the game rule feature, and after noticing that you could look at it from the culture/religion info screen, I realized that it might be convenient to change certain game rules mid-game.
The primary one I'm thinking about is the conclave education notifications, where, when you're a count, it might be feasible and even advantageous to micromange the education of every child in your court, but which gets extremely tedious as a king or emporer. The ability to change this rule mid-game would be nice, and changing this rule mid-game would not provide a major advantage. If you're concerned about people cheesing it, you could always make changing game rules break iron/bronzeman games. There are probably a few other game rules in a similar situation, but the conclave education one is the main one I thought would be both useful and not game-breaking.
TL;DR: Let us change our education pop-up game rule mid playthrough.
